About us
About this site
Pay Raise Calculator is a free financial education resource that helps US employees understand salary increases, hourly rates, and compensation changes in real dollars. We publish calculators and guides built on publicly documented arithmetic, with every formula and assumption stated on the page, and kept current through a genuine review cycle.
Our mission
Compensation is usually discussed in percentages, but people budget in dollars per paycheck. A 4% offer sounds different once you see that it means $92 more every two weeks. Our mission is to close that gap: turn abstract percentages into concrete numbers you can use to budget, compare offers, and walk into a review conversation knowing exactly what you are asking for.
We built this site because most salary calculators online are thin wrappers around a single formula, with no explanation of the math and no one accountable for the result. We do the opposite. Every calculation is explained, every assumption is stated, and every calculator and article carries a visible review date and a clear correction process.
How we work
Three principles run through everything we publish:
Documented math
Every formula and assumption is stated on the page, so any figure can be checked by hand.
Transparent process
Calculators use publicly documented arithmetic, formulas and assumptions appear on each page, and articles cite primary sources for changing legal, tax, inflation, or employment claims.
Kept current
Content is re-reviewed whenever the underlying rules or data change, and every calculator and article carries a visible review date.
The full methodology, review cycle, and corrections policy live on our editorial policy page.
The team
This site is published by the SalaryPilot Editorial Team. We do not attribute our content to invented individuals or claim professional credentials we cannot back up. Instead, we make our methods transparent: the arithmetic is documented, the assumptions are stated, and the sources are named.
SalaryPilot Editorial Team
SalaryPilot publishes browser-based calculators with visible formulas, assumptions and worked examples. Educational articles are reviewed for arithmetic consistency, clarity and source accuracy. We do not attribute content to invented individuals or claim professional credentials we cannot back up.
See our editorial process and contributors page.
Commitment to accuracy and transparency
Every calculation runs in your browser using plain arithmetic that we document on the page: annual pay is derived from your stated pay frequency, hourly conversions use your hours per week times 52, and biweekly amounts assume 26 pay periods a year. Nothing is hidden behind a black box, and calculations use full precision internally; displayed currency results are rounded to cents. If you spot a case we handle incorrectly, tell us and we will fix it.
